I know 2 posts today! I am on a roll. But I figured I would put on my "good mom hat" and make the kids a snack for after school. Plus this recipe was requested by a friend so here ya go.
These are so good. I have a couple friends that don't like No-Bake Cookies but they do like these. They are worth the 10 minutes to make them.
And you don't have to use an oven, there's a plus for me. :) Enjoy!
No-Bake Cookies
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine (I use butter)
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 cups oatmeal (I put in 3 cups)
1/2 cup coconut (I don't add)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Over medium heat mix together: sugar, milk, butter, & cocoa. Cook until well blended, DO NOT LET BOIL. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, vanilla, oatmeal & coconut. Mix well. Spoon onto wax paper & chill. Tasty-O!
THANK YOU! I'm really craving something different than ice cream, sugar cookies, and ding dongs.
ReplyDeleteYou have the best cookie recipes!
That's so funny. I made those today too! The sad thing is I only have two rows left. Now I know why I don't make them so often. I eat a whole pan in a day! They are super good!
ReplyDeleteI love no-bakes!!! And, Bridget is sick of ice cream, sugar cookies and ding dongs?? What's up with that? ;o)
ReplyDeleteMy mom made these with my kids and they were good. Her recipe didn't have coconut or call for it. I LOVE coconut so i'm gonna try this one. Thanks!
