Well actually it's Parker, I now am a Baseball mom. We give the boys a choice of which sport they want to play and Parker chose BB, (this is the first time he has played on a team much less played the sport) so that means we will only have one in soccer this summer which is fine by me. He did pretty good, this was his first practice and he hit a home run for himself while they were practicing batting. Which I don't think would be too hard as they are only a bunch of little kids. But I was proud of him none the less. He made me laugh when I overheard him talking to Brinley about BB. He said I like it better than soccer because you don't have to run as much and it's not as hot. So I think he has found his new calling.I managed to finish the 2 baptism announcements yesterday, & today I need to get Parker's stuffed in envelopes and mailed out. I also managed to get my quilt top all put together with sashings and all, but I'm not in love with it as much as I thought I would be. I pictured it so much differently in my head. Maybe I should have gone with the brown pansy fabric for my sashings instead of the blue. I give!
And the pickles & ice cream one is still in the works. Have I mentioned that I hate this quilt. It's driving me mad with all it's little squares going this way and that.
Stupid squares....
Your quilt is beautiful! I love it. Shayla has been in soccer and baseball. (now just soccer) and I would much rather watch soccer, to me baseball is soooo looong and boring for the 2 seconds your kid is up to bat!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks very nice. Parker looks like he is having a ball. I think I agree with him on the its not as hot! Last summer was so hot at most of the soccer games that I thought I was going to get heat stroke from just watching!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE QUILT!!! It is funny how you can have something in your head and it ruins the outcome for you. But, I have to say, it's beautiful! The colors are great together... One more thing you have a natural knack at! Love Parkers pictures! How nice for you to do one at a time!!! Those doubling up soccer games are a killer!
ReplyDeleteI think with parker's energy he'd do well in hockey! :):):) I think nick looks like a baseball player. We may try that next summer. It has to be $1000 cheaper than hockey is. Having 2 kids in it this fall is going to break the bank.
ReplyDeleteAWE-SUM job on the quilt. I think it's beautiful. I wish i had 1/100the talent you do. Sigh....... Very very pretty.
♥ Parker looks like he's having a blast!
ReplyDeleteAs for the quilt, you already know how I feel about that! I think the pansy's would have blended too much! If you don't want it I can find a home for it! :)
I love the quilt!! I really want to learn how to do that. What class are you taking to learn how to do that?
ReplyDeleteI don't have the patience for quilting so I'm always impressed with those that do. It looks great, and matches your blog. (the colors that is)
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt!
ReplyDeleteThat's fun that Parker is starting a sport.
