The movie surprised me, I liked it better than I thought I would. I have to admit that I went in with low expectations because when I saw the movie trailers on TV I found the acting to be a bit cheesy. But now having watched it I would totally watch it again & I will be watching the movies to follow. :) I mean don't get me wrong I still found a few parts in the show where it was just a little cheese but it was still good, so if ya love the Twilight books go and watch the movie I give it a thumbs up!
And speaking of movies, they showed the preview for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Looks like it's going to be a good one! I know I say it every time but I just love me some good movies!

I do have one question though why do some parents think it's okay to bring their 18 month old toddlers to 12:00 am movies that last a little over 2 hrs? Seriously it's called a sitter, look into it. People are STRANGE! And I felt bad for that little girl you can tell she just wanted her bed.
Well I better get my sorry butt in bed it's way late & I'm rambling plus the kids don't seem to care if I've had a late night, they still require care and feeding, why is that? :) J/K
LOL, i hear ya on the kid thing. It's nice to get a break like that but then you make up for it later. The parent thing drives me crazy too!
ReplyDeletesee I never have a sitter my hubby is in the military, and weve moved so much I've never had time to find someone we trust to watch our girls...So with that I don't go out to events like this..Crazy..really who takes a kid out at that time...I had to take my daughters to WalMart with me once at 1am because one sprung a fever and just so happened I couldn't find the meds, we just moved in and hubby was gone so I had no choice and I still felt like a freak,,, sorry I'm rambling...any who, I was suppose to go see the movie today, but I'm not sure, I'm not big on the movie theather I love to watch them at home I may actually wait till it comes out on DVD....if I can wait that long, or I will catch it at the dollar theather in 2months.. Our dollar theather rocks compared to the hit flicks one...I thought some of it looked cheesy to so I will probably feel the same way when I go... get some rest today..hugs, lisa
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun to see postings about all your fun ladies going out for this showing. :)
ReplyDeleteSee, if you don't feed them you may have to listen to the whining for a bit but then pretty soon...poof! No energy for whining.
ReplyDeleteFood=Fuel=Energy & Whining.
Glad you liked it...I'm going to have to give it a shot...
ohhh- I went to it last night too... and yes, I liked it. Some parts I thought were a bit slow- but do intend to watch the next 3:) I didn't care for Edward in the beginning but he totally grew on me. Thank goodness and Bella pulled through too. My favorite was Alice... she was to the key as I expected her!! We should get together half way and watch the next one at 12!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed it!! I'm going to it with low expectations as well....my sister and I are going to see it next week. Too many birthdays this week! Hope you get a nap today! :)
ReplyDeleteIn defense of the toddler thing, we've done that, knowing that he'd fall asleep in the car, or once we were in the theater when my son was younger. One time, he surprised us and didn't follow through with the plan- but we weren't about to walk away from the money we'd spent, as with our budget we don't get to go to movies very often. He didn't fuss , though, and did fall asleep about 1/2 an hour before the end.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, though. It was a very good conversion- very succinct.
I loved the movie too! I was worried I would not, but I was happy.
ReplyDeleteAs for the children. We had those too! Seriously people skip the movie and be a parent.
Right when our 12am movie was supposed to start they decided to have a fashion show (yes you read that right). A prom fashion show for ten minutes. I was SO mad. Then because of that they skipped previews. Hmmm.... I felt forced!
yeah....cheesy is a good word. I forgot how much I couldn't stand bella at first when I read the book. she's like........never happy. hello? edward loves you. get over it. um, i had issues with jasper and all of the makeup was a tad distracting for me. I kept waiting for bella to have red lipstick all over her neck.
ReplyDeleteLOVED the ending! all in all, yes....thumbs up. it's growing on me already. i now have a raging headache and must sleep.
OK I LOVED the movie. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it!!
ReplyDeleteYou saw it? I'm so glad you liked it. I don't get bringing a toddler to a 12 am movie AT all.
ReplyDelete♥ I still haven't even read the books yet...
ReplyDeleteI don't get take a little kid that late either! crazy...
so this must be why you REALLY called me last night to talk before we were so RUDELY interrupted by scouts.....i know, i will always play second fiddle to scouts, especially now that i too will have 3 boys!!! YIKES! glad you liked the movie. i have refused to read the books because they seem like a fad. my sisters have all ganged up on me and read it though and they are all planning on seeing it together over the tgiving break....guess i should crack it open and read on the way over there huh? glad you liked it. my hopes aren't up too high either
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm a little jealous, I really want to go see this movie, I'm worried it will be too crowded, so I think I'll wait a couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteA friend and I were suppose to go...but alas...with her 5 kids and mine and being that we are 40 miles away from the nearest theater with have nto yet. I am glad to get your review though....so excited when I do get to see it. Glad you got to go out....who did you go with? cherry
ReplyDeletehmm it's growing on me as the time goes on...while i was in there watching it though i was like "uh no...i can not believe i drove 3 hours for this movie" but i think charlie was AWESOME, jasper bugged big time, and i loved edward in the end but hated him in the beginning...but i'll probably go see it again when it comes to my little town.
ReplyDeleteI am such a slacker, there was no way that I was going to wait in line to see a movie! I only do that to shop! Yep-I am a day after thanksgiving freak-and proud of it! I should make me a t-shirt. I would wear it proudly!!!
ReplyDeleteGo and chek your email
Just got home from seeing it with my 2 daughters. We all loved it. Not the best movie of all time but entertaining and the characters all seemed like old friends. Didn't think I was gonna like Edward. Ended up loving him. Mimi
ReplyDeleteOn the toddler/late night thing, all I have to say is "Duh, people".
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the movie yet, and I don't quite know what to think.
Umm, I hate to admit this but I haven't read the book yet. My mom was kind enough to purchase one for me this weekend though. I'll get on that after I finish the Da Vinci Code.
ReplyDeleteYou've been given an award. You can find the details on my latest post. Thanks for your inspiration!

I'm glad you like the movie!
ReplyDeleteCourtney wanted to go to the 12am viewing so badly, but I knew I wouldn't make it + we've been so sick and I could see it just starting all over again losing that much sleep. We're going to go in the next couple of days. Glad it was good!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this show. I think I'll like it depending on how well the movie matches what I saw in my head while reading the story. I think I'm going to just have to wait till it comes out on dvd since I don't want to take Jack with me.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read these yet. . .but I'm really thinking I NEED TO! Maybe I can sneak it onto my list. . .
