Carefully cut the knit top off of the wide band of elastic.
The seam is inside so you don't see anything when finished, talk about quick & easy.
Now Brinley has 2 more skirts for cheap and they are cute to boot.
Adorable. Right up my alley: scissors, no sewing, instant gratification :) Love it~
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny...i just bought two of those same Miley dresses the other day too! I couldn't resist $3 for super cute ruffles! I haven't made mine into anything yet, but when I do it will be for my daughter Brynlee :)

ReplyDeleteI took that same $3 clearance in grey and black and made elastic ruffle belts: cut off the bottom 2/3 of skirt, keeping enough ruffles to cover the INSDIE of the elastic belt, sew down at bottom, loosely, so the elastic can still stretch to get around your waist, and wear over a shirt or dress. I'll have a picture tomorrow when my BYU daughter posts it!
