{ Baking In The Morning - Serious Goodness }

Whatever was I thinking??!?!
My husband wanted fresh hot Cinnamon Rolls to take to his early morning meeting at work.
So me being the ever good wife that I am made them.

I started last night and got all the rolls on trays, saran wrapped the suckers and stuck them in the fridge. When the Mister got up this morning he preheated the oven and got them out and rising again. Well, THIS RECIPE doesn't like that (mental note to self) they just weren't the same. So now I have to remake the hummers (one of these days) so I can prove to his Co-Workers that I really can bake.
Don't get me wrong they are still delicious & yummy but they just didn't have that same Fabulous-ness that they normally do!

But let me just say that this recipe is HANDS DOWN the most:
Yummiest
Lightest
Fluffiest
Most Delicious
Roll recipe I HAVE EVER HAD!
Just make them all on the same day..... :)

Thanks to my friend Kim for sharing her amazing recipe with me.

Cinnamon Rolls

Mix and Cool:
 2 C. boiling Water
1/2 C. brown Sugar
1 C. butter or margarine
1/4 C. white sugar
I let this cool in my kitchen aid bowl in my sink filled with a little cold water and I stir it often.

Add in a bowl: 2 Tbsp yeast in 1/2 C. warm water wait until bubbly.
I add a sprinkle of sugar to help proof the yeast.

After your bowl of "sugar water" is cooled off enough add your yeast mixture to it and then add the following:

2 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
7 C. flour or more for a soft dough

Mix and cover.
Let raise.
Carefully put raised dough on Oiled or floured surface. It rolls out fast
& easy when it's raised up.  Roll out to 1/4" thick.
Brush dough with melted butter, and then sprinkle brown sugar all over it.
Next sprinkle cinnamon all over dough.
Roll up tight Cut into 2" rolls.
Place on a greased cookie sheet.
 Cover with a towel and let raise really well.
Bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen rolls

Frosting:
3/4 C. Soft butter
3 C. Powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
1-2 Tbsp. Milk

Mix well with electric mixer it should be thick and creamy.

{ Hold The Emails Please.... }

EDITED:
Photo is by: Brian Tibbets
Click here to link to his direct photo

Okay, so my Inbox overfloweth with LOADS of emails for this picture.

 I do have to apologize as I didn't think ahead and just do a link to download, (live & learn) that's what I get for being in a hurry.

So for my sanity's sake and for the love of having to copy and paste all the emails you can just go here and download this photo.
There are 2 versions: Click on either to download.
Hopefully the links work.

Color
Black & White
I printed this photo as an 8x10
 I have a love for these more candid shots of our prophets. I think these make them seem more grandpa-ish, I bought this one back in 2004 from Boyd Ivey in Utah

Disclaimer: I didn't not take the above Monson photo &
I do not sell it.
I did take it into photoshop as it was on the cool side and I removed a few spots on his face as well as making it black and white.

{ Felt Pinked Valentine Heart - A Tutorial }

I finally finished my Felt Valentine Heart!! I ended up folding my circles a little differently than other tutorials I have found.. Lets just say it's more compact by design, I like to think of it as the
Mini Cooper of Valentine Hearts.
I love how it turned out and it was cheap, no frugal!
Like $5 smackers frugal, ya gotta love that. :)

Thanks for reading.
Sorry for the double post, my blog went all wacko on me.

{ Projects }

I am slowly working on a couple of crafts for Valentines Day which is also known to some as
Single Awareness Day :)
But I ran out of red felt, so it's off to the store for me tomorrow, hopefully I can get them all done before the big day, if not, I guess I'll be ahead of the game for next year right!
 Well I better go and peel all the hot glue off my fingers and I also I hear my pillow calling.

Did anyone watch The Young Victoria??
What did you think?

{ A Date With Netflix =The Young Victoria }

Okay chalk another movie onto my Favorite Movies list!!
 Seriously
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Emily Blunt is amazing.
The Young Victoria is a movie about Queen Victoria immediately before and after her rise to the throne.
It has an amazing Soundtrack (thank you iTunes), exquisite costumes, and to-die-for sets/locations.
I'm a total sucker for period genre.
You can watch this online if you have Netflix, I myself have watched it 3 times and still absolutely love it!
You won't be disappointed.
It's like 600 count sheets, it just gets better
every time I watch it! :)
Okay, I better get back to my red felt and pinking shears, I promised myself I would finish Valentine's projects early this year! :)
